Private Cruise to Aeolian Islands on Caicco Yacht

The "new normal" on vacation shall not be boring

Aeolian Islands in Caicco - Up to 12 People | 8 Days / 7 Nights Private Cruise for an unforgettable holiday.

The Caicco (or Gulet)

Is a traditional wooden boat locally built in Turkey and suitable for short cruises. It is one of the most prestigious and well-kept boats in the Mediterranean.

Constructed entirely from solid wood and teak from Turkey's best ax masters and weighing over 75 tons, it will let you experience the amazing feeling of embarking on a cruise traveling by sea to discover enchanting and fascinating places in total safety and stability. Built to carry exclusive charters and enabled to sail without limits from the coast for a maximum of 12 passengers plus crew.

The Gulet offers four comfortable and refined cabins with private bathroom, shower and air conditioning, including two very large suites and two cabins with a third bed. A guest cabin with private service and air conditioning and a crew cabin with independent services. Inside an elegant lounge with bar area, table and sofa, wifi area with music and satellite TV, professional kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, two walk-in cooler box and three refrigerators. All to prepare tasty dishes with a Mediterranean flavor and all strictly farm-to-table or…should we say: sea-to-table. Many fishermen on the islands, for example, join the boat to show and sell freshly caught fish.

The deck offers a comfortable solarium area with sun loungers and a small bow seat and outside shower. A comfortable royal staircase will help you get off the vessel as often as you want.

Meals

Breakfast (lunches and dinners optional) will be served daily in the aft deck equipped with a comfortable table complete with seats and sofas in the shade of the awning. The gulet is equipped with the latest generation of electronic instruments and equipment, including: Radar, GPS, depth sounder, vhf, autopilot, cartographic, etc. Two electric generators will always supply the electric current and when you want to rest easy listening only to the sound of the sea the boat is equipped with photovoltaic panels to have current without any noise. The machine room is equipped with a Caterpillar 3208 main engine, a 150-liter hour water-maker, two water heaters with continuous functionality to have hot water for several hours, 6 automatic bilge pumps with two autoclaves.

The classic cruise to the Aeolian islands in this amazing Caicco has set departures every Saturday for the majority of the year from the small port of Santa Maria Maggiore in Milazzo.

Procedures

Check-in will be done around 18:00, the crew will welcome you on board and you will check-in your cabins. A briefing will follow regarding the on board rules and safety. After that, it's time to go over the cruise and the itinerary.

Moving around the island, you to reach places of disarming beauty. Starting from the center of Lipari, about 3 km north, you arrive at the town of Canneto, this area offers the possibility to enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. Its promenade packs bars and clubs, ideal for evening and afternoon walks. The Canneto beach is located on the east coast, the dark sand gives it charm and is a typical detail of the holiday to the Aeolian in caique. Here, you will find a pebble beach consisting of gravel and sand. The waters are turquoise and clear and along the coast there are many tourist facilities equipped to accommodate tourists. Monday: Off to Panarea Island after breakfast, where we will stop and swim near the splendid Basiluzzo rock, an afternoon dedicated to the island excursion. The economic center of the island is San Pietro where you can find a thermal spring. The island is not very big and can be visited on foot or with the classic Aeolian taxi. Tuesday: After breakfast we will sail to the island of Stromboli with a stop at Lisca Bianca and Dattilo.
These islets are what remains of ancient volcanic craters. Dattilo is entirely rocky and inaccessible except for a small beach reachable to you thanks to the Caicco. You can visit the town or make the ascent to the crater. One path is easier while the other one called Liscione is more challenging. The effort for the two-hour walk will be rewarded when, at some point, you find yourself as if you were immersed in a lunar landscape where the craters, with the continuous eruptive activity, dominate the whole scenario. Dinner at leisure to admire the Strombolian activity at night. You can also choose to dine on board along the volcano to see the volcanic activity even closer. "Stromboli by night". Overnight at anchor.

  • Day 5 | Salina Island

Wednesday: Breakfast on board and departure to the island of Salina. As soon as you arrive in Santa Marina you can admire the marvelous eighteenth-century church with its characteristic bell towers. This area is full of small shops and clubs that crowd in the evening for nightlife. In the western part of the country, about 100 meters from the Santa Marina ring road, in the Serro dell'Acqua area, it is possible to walk along a path that leads, through a vegetation of olive and fruit trees, to the Saracen caves, used as a refuge to escape the atrocious barbarity committed by the Saracens. Free time for a bath and lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the small village of Rinella and stay overnight at the marina.

  • Day 6 | Lipary Island South-East

Thursday: Off to Lipari’s west coast after breakfast. Area exposed to the predominant winds of the north-west quadrant.
