Full-day yacht trip to Punta Prosciutto (10.30am to 6.00pm)
10.30 am: Departure from Porto Cesareo heading northwards to reach the amazing beaches of Punta Prosciutto, about 10 nautical miles away.
Stop at a wonderful white sand bay, where you can swim in the crystal-clear water. You can also sunbathe lying on our comfortable bow cushion. Breakfast on board with coffee and the typical pasticciotto from Salento.
Departure heading south towards the amazing ruins of the sixteenth-century Torre di Castiglione, where you can see a rocky coast, swim and go snorkeling above a white-sand seabed. You can also plunge into a unique cove and have an invigorating swim where the cool spring water meets the warm sea water with a change in temperature of 5-6°C.
Next up is Torre Lapillo. where you can go snorkeling and visit the statue of Our Lady of Navigators. lt represents the Virgin Mary and it was placed 3,5 meters underwater after the sinking of the cruise ship Costa Concordia in 2012. lt commemorates those who have lost their lives at sea.
Departure for the Isola dei Conigli (Rabbit Island), an island surrounded by lagoon water, and lunch on board with a fish-based menu: appetizer, first course, main course (usually prawns or swordfish), side dish, fruit, water and DOP wine.
The cruise continues going north towards the archeological site of Torre Chianca, where the sea is home to the Greek-Roman Columns. You can dive or snorkel to explore these amazing archeological finds which date back to 200 AD and lie 4,5 meters underwater. They are also perfectly visible from the boat.
Next, we will head to some coves close to the beaches tasting fresh seasonal fruit and sipping prosecco as we slowly return to the port by 18.00.
